The Role:
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Join us at Hampshire County Council, where we’re committed to raising aspirations and improving outcomes for young people with SEND placing a strong focus on progression into meaningful employment.
Our ‘All Our Talents’ strategy sets out an ambitious vision: to create a sector-leading, county-wide programme of high-quality, joined-up education and skills provision that supports young people with SEND to achieve sustained employment and successful adult lives.
We are now seeking an experienced and dedicated Co-ordinator to support the day-to-day delivery of our SEND projects and Post 16 Sufficiency action plan. Working alongside the Development Manager (SEND Employability), you’ll play a key role in driving forward this exciting initiative.
What you’ll do:
Based within the County Council’s Participation and Lifelong Learning service, you’ll collaborate with a wide range of partners—including parents, education providers, employers, and internal teams—to transform Hampshire’s employability offer for young people with SEND.
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who is a passionate advocate for young people with SEND and who shares our vision for inclusive progression into adulthood and employment. You’ll bring proven experience in project coordination and working across multiple agencies, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to build strong, effective relationships. Your ability to influence and negotiate will be key to delivering complex initiatives, and you’ll have a solid understanding of the education and training landscape, Supported Employment principles, and the needs of young people with SEND. If you're ready to be part of a transformative programme that empowers young people with SEND to thrive, we’d love to hear from you.
Hampshire Achieves is part of the Participation & Lifelong Learning service within Hampshire County Council’s Children’s Services Directorate. We are committed to helping every young person thrive and reach their full potential.
