My interpersonal and communication skills are exceptional due to the environments I was working in, examples of these include working with the general public on both Haven and Butlins sites, this would mean helping people with any concerns such as directions, safety points within the sites and ensuring there was no antisocial behaviour within the parks. In general I am a very confident and approachable person, this shines through in any job I undertake, I take any situation under my belt and I can work through problems as a team member but also alone wherever needed. I am particularly efficient when using any IT program, however, I also welcome any support and criticism where needed. All of my job roles have required me to use critical thinking and problem solving as I have continuously worked with the general public and no 2 days are the same. Examples of this include correcting orders that have been sent out incorrectly, providing a solution and compensation for inadequate service. Whilst working in the holiday parks, I came across a number of situations where children have wandered off from family and have found themselves lost, in these situations critical thinking was used to take them to the nearest safety point and call over the tannoy firstly to inform the family and secondly to ensure support was provided for both myself and the children. This situation also shows how I am able to follow policies and procedures.
About
I am applying for this job role as I believe I have the ability to confidently and calmly articulate instructions and information to the public which will be crucial in critical conditions. Throughout my previous jobs, I have worked efficiently and professionally with other team members and colleagues in order to provide exceptional service and achieve desirable results. Examples of this include short notice leave where we have been a couple of members short on shift and as a team we have had to think of solutions in order to provide seamless services to the public. This also included calling in other colleagues and dealing with difficult situations, such as asking them to provide us with support over their personal time. I have also had to work extra hours due to these issues, showing my dedication to the job role. Due to working with children and in the food environment, I have completed a number of health and safety courses in order to maintain health and safety standards in all jobs I have worked in. It was a requirement to keep on top of this training, so I have completed a plethora of these courses over the past couple of years.
